About the event

Heart to Heart with God

"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." -St. Therese of Lisieux (CCC 2558)

You know prayer is important but still find it challenging. Perhaps it’s hard to find time, or you’re unsure what to do when you pray or you feel discouraged by your weaknesses.

If you have any of these feelings, you are not alone. Even the saints struggled in prayer, learning to rely more on God’s grace, than on their abilities. He drew them ever closer to Him, and wants to do the same for us.

And that’s what this retreat is about: the journey of prayer God wants to take us on.

We will be primarily referencing the book/study “When You Pray” by Dr. Edward Sri.

Our prayerful hope is to offer you an educational, practical, and spiritual day of reflection that will help cultivate a rich and lasting prayer life as we journey together this one day.

May the Holy Spirit increase in your hearts, worshipping God with all your being, in the true splendor of prayer. He is our hope, our salvation, and our glory to come!

The Sacraments of Reconciliation and The Eucharist will be offered by Rev. Brendan Buckley, OFM Cap.
